PhysioDo you have a health concern that could be helped by physiotherapy?  You can access physiotherapy services through work well NL.  Find out below what physiotherapy support is available through our occupational health provider and how to access that support.

What type of physiotherapy support is available?

The support is available as a short term intervention, for the treatment of acute conditions, this is intended to complement rather than replace the physiotherapy that is provided through the NHS. Physiotherapist can offer services such as acupuncture, hydrotherapy.

How is the physiotherapy being carried out in 2022?

As Covid-19 restrictions are lifted and government guidelines develop, Ace Physiotherapy & Sports Clinic have been working hard in preparing the clinics for a return to face to face consultations. The clinics will be operating differently as they work towards providing a safe and caring environment for both customers and staff. New measures include:

Physio• The waiting area will be scheduled to minimise contact between clients and inform social distancing and so you should arrive five minutes before the appointment and no earlier
• Hand sanitising/ washing procedures will be in operation
• Our Physiotherapists will be wearing  facemasks
• Between appointments our equipment and clinics will be cleaned

I want to request physiotherapy support

If you feel you may benefit from physiotherapy support please discuss this with your manager.   A managers next step is to send to  a completed Physiotherapy Referral Form  .

Initial Assessment

When a referral is received the physiotherapist will complete a Clinical Triage and Risk Assessment, to help them determine if your condition requires a face to face consultation, despite the risk of coronavirus infection. Face to face consultations will not be offered for routine physiotherapy treatment in the current climate, and all precautions to prevent and control the risk of infection must be observed for this consultation to take place.
The physiotherapist will contact you via telephone to arrange the appropriate appointment and some additional Health questions may be asked.

Attending the Clinic

If through the Clinical Triage and Risk Assessment it has been determined that you require a face to face appointment you will be sent a COVID-19 ACE consent form by  email.  This must be completed and returned to prior to your appointment, otherwise the face to face appointment cannot proceed.

24 hours prior to your appointment you will receive a text/ WhatsApp message to check your current health status in relations to COVID-19.

You will be asked to wear a face covering/ mask during the consultation.

If you have any queries or concerns about attending the clinic please contact ACE Physiotherapy who will be happy to help.
